Shortly after the Gen 3 Hemi engine was introduced, other companies have developed and offered different intake solutions geared toward the restomod and racing market. The main issue with most of these intakes was the single plane, short runner design. This design severely effects the torque and horsepower of these engines but allows for hood clearance on muscle cars. It also keeps the cost down on a budget retrofit by the ability of using an ignition only controller and a carburetor instead of fuel injection. Fast forward to today (or in a few months if you will), I have adapted the long runner dual plane design of a mid RPM band (2000-6500 RPM), hot street intake to the G3 platform and have made it to be a dual purpose carbureted or injected design. It's the best of both worlds!!
